A Shoe Hope

hope
hope Ann Ringstrand and Stephan Soderberg founded the Swedish label Hope back in '01, and five years later threw shoes into the mix. Their fall '08 footwear collection is 100% black leather, and seems to showcase the label's trademark attention to construction and material. Shop online here.

New Arrivals: B Store at La Garconne

b store

Cartwheels were in favor when I discovered La Garconne just recevied their spring shipment of B Store shoes. The collection is named after the designer's London outpost, famous for carrying an edited assortment of lines such as Opening Ceremony, Peter Jensen and Cosmic Wonder. I'm coo coo over this tassled pair...

New Arrivals: Devotte at Satine

devotte
devotte
I haven't heard too much about Devotte shoes since last spring, when they were all the rage. I was excited to see that Satine just received their 'special' spring shipment of Devottes, and I'm loving the looks of it...particularly the white studded sandal, which is the wondrous result of a collaboration between the boutique and designer. On a similar note, Satine is charting new waters with their just opened Tokyo Boutique, which will house the retailer's collaboration with one of my favorites, Society for Rational Dress.

Designer Lookout: Keller

keller
The lovely Jennine at The Coveted (we miss you in SF btw) tipped me off to Keller, a new line out of Brooklyn. Their debut spring '08 collection has a definite menswear undertone, proving this theme has staying power. I'm lusting over their shoes in particular. I always appreciate a great, re-invented pair of flats. In fact, the entire collection is based on an idea of re-inventing the classics. Keller is so new, stock is limited and only available at In God we Trust in NY.

Designer Lookout: Cri De Coeur

cri de coeur

Speaking from experience, finding a pair of stylish and well made vegan shoes is like finding a suitcase full of money on your walk home from work: It just ain't gonna happen. Until now that is... Thanks to the debut, 6 piece collection of stylish vegan and environmentally sustainable shoes by NY based Cri De Coeur, us vegetarians/vegans can breath a sigh of relief. With shapes like the two tone- t-strap Chloe and the faux suede Scout ankle booties, everyone has an equal shot at a closet full of fashion forward footwear. Available online here.

F-Troupe: Spring '08

f troupe
I'm a sucker for a good pair of flats, and F-Troupe covers all my criteria...they had me at hello...ever since I first laid eyes on a pair. F Troupe hails from the UK and have been making shoes for over five years, this spring being their 10th season, which just arrived at La Garconne. The collection is pretty directional as a whole, pointing the right way. An added bonus: the prices are phenomenal.
