Run Rabbit Run

run rabbit runRabbit on the Run is a bright and playful collection out of Paris. The shapes are composed of simple, over sized silhouettes and made unforgettable by bold and colorful motifs. I oversaw this at first glance, but upon further inspection, it's apparent that each print is oddly symmetrical: they're the result of an ongoing experiment of cutting and folding images. The price tag: each item hovers at around $130.00. Available online at Rabbit on the Run.com and Pixie Market.

Designer Lookout: Zoe Alexander

zoe alexander
Zoe Alexander's bold dresses are the first thing you see when you step foot into San Francisco's newest fashion/art fixture, Look Boutique. You see the same well-tailored dress, 5 times over, each one composed of a different, un-forgettable fabric. The craziest thing...Zoe Alexander is still in high school. The gals at Look discovered her after approaching her at an event wearing one of her own creations; they immediately took her under their wing. Spring '08 is Zoe's debut collection, and I predict we'll be seeing a lot more from this 17 year old.

Designer Lookout: Keller

keller
The lovely Jennine at The Coveted (we miss you in SF btw) tipped me off to Keller, a new line out of Brooklyn. Their debut spring '08 collection has a definite menswear undertone, proving this theme has staying power. I'm lusting over their shoes in particular. I always appreciate a great, re-invented pair of flats. In fact, the entire collection is based on an idea of re-inventing the classics. Keller is so new, stock is limited and only available at In God we Trust in NY.

Designer Lookout: Cri De Coeur

cri de coeur

Speaking from experience, finding a pair of stylish and well made vegan shoes is like finding a suitcase full of money on your walk home from work: It just ain't gonna happen. Until now that is... Thanks to the debut, 6 piece collection of stylish vegan and environmentally sustainable shoes by NY based Cri De Coeur, us vegetarians/vegans can breath a sigh of relief. With shapes like the two tone- t-strap Chloe and the faux suede Scout ankle booties, everyone has an equal shot at a closet full of fashion forward footwear. Available online here.
