Swash S/S '09
Swash's spring '09 collection of hand drawn and hand printed scarfs is whimsical and full of the nuances of natural history. This season they threw in a small collection of clothing, and just like their collection of scarfs: each piece is fanciful and irresistible. The sun-filled lookbook goes hand in hand with the collection and creates a beautiful backdrop full of life. Now all we have to do is get our hands on the collection, or at least one of those scarfs! Sneak Peek: Brass SS'09
We would love to introduce you to Brass, London-based designer Zoe Watt's new collection of womenswear. Born and bred in Scotland, designer Zoe Watt studied Fashion at the University of Middlesex before embarking upon a Masters degree at Central St. Martins, London. After her studies she worked with names such as Boudicca and Peter Jensen. SS '09 is based on a series of her signature geometric shapes, with a play on 60’s ‘Mod’ and ‘skinhead’ styles. Society for Rational Dress Spring 2009
Society for Rational Dress is one of those few collections which consistently drums out amazing, wearable and eye-catching pieces, season after season. This is quite refreshing, as one sometimes needs solace from the fact that many designers lose their vision along the road, or at least deliver a clouded vision. Spring was full of a ton of great silky-smooth jersey, and a few unavoidable trends like the jumpsuit, but hey, Grassini has been designing that shape for years.
