We proclaimed our love for Etten Eller--now we're fixated on their newest collection which is slightly more involved than the last and focuses more on layers and form. The best part: they've taken their trademark gears and introduced them as earrings!! And each piece can be purchased with an extension allowing for varying lengths. Short, long, or you can simply wear the extension on its own.

Sneak Peek: OCTOPI Fall '09
Sneak Peek: OCTOPI Fall '09

Designers Sarah Welsh and Madeline Davy created Brooklyn based OCTOPI in the Spring of '03, after meeting at the Rhode Island School of Design. Among their many influences, they list Brancusi and workout gear as their favorites--with clear signs of this geometric and stretchy combo throughout their Fall '09 collection featured here. The duo said themselves that this season they "took a building block approach to design. Like Tetris pieces we wedge, stack and tier shapes into form. We look to the geometric elegance of John Lautner and Piet Mondrian." Well, we do love Tetris...now more than ever. Shop OCTOPI online at Plum & Pear.
