September 8th, New York: Since 2005, Three as Four has proven again and again they can prevail on their own, without their former fourth, Kai Khune. Together, Adi, Gabi and Ange used a muted pallet of beige and eggshell to unveil their 35 piece collection of the conventional and the not so conventional. The first group didn't play around with color, in fact, we didn't see any, but that just painted a background from which their steady introduction of pale blues, lilacs, raspberrys and at one time, mountain dew yellow presented themselves. We saw the usual suspects: curved hems, beautifully layered silks, ruffle, this time presented with a more grown-up aesthetic. The trio threw one out there towards the finale, with their last two gowns, covered in oragami, but I kinda loved it. A little Ostentatious but anything else would question this trio's authenticity. Its no wonder Three as Four is on the billing for this year's CFDA fashion fund. Four minus one equals three alright.
